You may have seen the name 27 Travels floating around the internet, but if you haven’t we are here to tell you exactly who we are! 27 Travels is us, Gabi & Shanna, a lesbian couple based in Brooklyn, New York. We started our Instagram account @27travels in 2016 as a creative outlet for our travel photos. Oh, and if you’re wondering what the heck the 27 comes from, that’s the day of our anniversary! Early on in our relationship we both realized we loved traveling, and since we started dating in 2016, we have been to around 20 countries together and 5 continents! 

Since Gabi is an artist & photographer and Shanna is a videographer & video editor, whenever we would travel we would always document our trip in photos & videos. We were both working freelance in our respective fields so we had 27 Travels as our creative outlet to post the kind of content we were passionate about creating. That was until recently, when we decided to start a new endeavor, our own business!

That is how Industry 27 was born (you can tell the number 27 means a lot to us haha)! Industry 27 is our production company where we offer services like photography, video, & graphic design all over the world. We were already doing these kinds of jobs for clients & other companies as freelancers, but decided it was time to truly start working for ourselves. We also loved the idea of a queer & female owned production company. If you’ve ever worked in the field of production, you would see that it is very male dominated. When either of us work on set, we are usually the only women behind the camera. A women-run production company is very rare and a queer & women-run one is almost unheard of. But Industry 27 is more to us than just a business, we are both truly passionate about what we do! We live & breathe visual content and we love having a place where we can put all of our passions together while making a living!
